The Washburn University Honors Program connects students and faculty across campus inside a common search for knowledge and understanding. We offer opportunities for honors students to work closely with professors in and outside of formal courses, and we encourage students to devote their intellectual talents to gaining a deeper understanding of all that they study.
To apply: The application is posted online on the Honors Program webpage under “Future Students.” Incoming first-year students must have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA or minimum ACT score of 28 (SAT 1300). Current WU/transfer students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
Scholarships are available, and students may qualify by submitting their Honors Program Application early. Feb. 1 is the priority deadline, but applications will be accepted until two weeks prior to the start of the Fall semester.
